About the Coach

The Purpose Coach - Cindy Koo has close to 50 years of diverse career experiences in corporations, SMEs/SMIs and non-profit organisations. This covered different industries and working in other countries. She is exceptionally grateful and appreciative of being able to transverse from shop floor to management suite, from pushing pen over paper to rolling-up sleeves on the production floor and in the nurturing and supporting of others in their learning journey. With this diversified hands-on experience, Cindy has been able to empathise, inspire, mentor and coach her clients towards operations excellence, strategic management, and people development.

She is a qualified Certified Mastery Coach by Corporate Coach Academy. Since launching her professional coaching career in 2007, Cindy has progressed to being a credentialed PCC (Professional Certified Coach) by the International Coach Federation in 2016 and her coaching work is focused on:

A unique aspect of The Purpose Coach is the customization of coaching initiatives for all her clients. Each and every coaching project is carefully planned and designed to meet specific needs and the client’s goal. In the last 16 years as a professional coach, Cindy has worked at both organisational levels, and with personal individuals, embedding purposeful coaching techniques to develop her clients to thrive in today’s VUCA world. Cindy will provide non-obligatory discovery sessions to explore the client’s specific needs before designing and co-creating a coaching plan to address those needs.

Coaching is about transformational empowerment whilst conventional training is more about transactional learning like skills and information download. As a true-blue coach, Cindy respects the client’s knowledge and expertise in their industry field – her skill is to stretch and elevate people to have a desire to raise their own performance bar in different areas of their lives. Nevertheless, where needed, the coaching initiative can include skills mentoring components that are critical for that client to achieve the desired outcomes.

In her own continuous learning and development journey, Cindy is also a Certified Enhanced Practitioner for the acknowledged Conversational Intelligence for Coaches program. She is committed to help people understand and acknowledge the importance of productive & dynamic conversations in our lives and, how they can navigate their worlds to connect and engage with other people at home, workplace, and community. This has spurred Cindy’s interest in the embedding of neuroscience practices into her coaching skills.

Cindy holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from TAFE Australia, and is passionate about passing the torch to aspiring coach-learners. She had been a regular facilitator for the coaching modules in HELP University’s Masters in Applied Psychology in Coaching since 2012. In addition, she facilitates and mentors in ICF accredited coach-learning programs under Corporate Coach Academy since 2007. She currently mentors new and junior ACC coaches seeking ICF credentialing.

In the recent years, it has been her vision and mission to contribute intrinsic learning into the lives of young adults from underprivileged backgrounds. She has crafted a unique A.S.P.I.R.E. coaching program that is aimed at building character, and cultivating life values for those who are transitioning into the workplace.

Cindy also works as a 3rd party independent Assessor for leadership, team, and talent development initiatives.
