Michele Lum is a C-suite executive, leadership, and health & wellness coach, whose passion for people has seen her take the leap of faith to pursue her life-calling as a coach to leaders and future leaders in topics ranging from leadership development, communications to health and wellness.

She is also an award-winning marketer and communicator with more than 22 years of corporate and consulting experience in strategic marketing, public relations and media experience in Southeast Asia and the USA.

Michele holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from International Coaching Federation and is among the few certified ontological coaches in Malaysia with the Newfield Certified Coach (NCC) credential. She is also the first in Malaysia to receive the prestigious (US) National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) credential from the United States and the Certified Positive Intelligence Coach (CPQC), also known as a Certified Mental Fitness Coach.

Michele brings to bear more than two decades of corporate experience in strategic marketing and communications, leadership development and culture transformation having worked with multinational organizations such as Shandwick International, Edelman Public Relations, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Accenture (Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia), Fujitsu, and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). As an executive coach, her clients include C-suite executives, top talents and senior managers from oil & gas, information technology, banking & financial institutions, automotive, and services industries. She also works with individual leaders, entrepreneurs and communication professionals from the United States, the United Kingdom, Africa, and Southeast Asian countries.

Prior to becoming a professional executive coach, Michele served as the Chief Leadership Officer and Head, Strategic Communications of PETRONAS ICT Sdn Bhd and was responsible for pioneering the Company’s Future Leaders Program, Leadership and Communications Academies, Group ICT Excellence Awards, Digital Day, and the award-winning ICT Bytes digital newsletter.

Michele was named the “Top 50 Most Talented CMOs” Award, 3rd prize Social Contribution Activities/Corporate Image Improvement Activities category at the 2013 Fujitsu Group Environmental Awards, and “Woman Super Achiever” Award, CMO Asia Awards 2011. Her leadership and passion for excellence have also led to being the Winner of “2018 Asia Pacific Excellence Award – Publication” for PETRONAS ICT’s ICT Bytes digital newsletter, and the “PETRONAS ICT Excellence Awards – Star of the Year 2017” for PETRONAS ICT’s Communications Academy.

Michele holds two Master of Business Administration degrees with the University of Singapore and University of California, Los Angeles. She also holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Regent University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications and Dance from James Madison University, Virginia.
